A bottle of AnCnoc Tushkar, produced at Knockdhu distillery. This is named after the Tushkar spade, which has a long blade that cuts down through the peat, producing a turf with a medium to slow burn. This peat adds a complex smokiness to the whisky.
The Knockdhu distillery closed in 1983 and when production resumed in 1989 the owners decided to rename the whisky AnCnoc (Gaelic for 'The Hill') to avoid confusion with Knockando.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
