Description

A decanter of Glen Grant Private Collection 1952 from independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail, released to commemorate the Platinum Jubilee. This whisky was filled into a first fill sherry butt on 26 January 1952 and matured for 70 years before bottling in 2022 on 6 February, the same date as Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's accession to the throne.

This is decanter 3 of 256.

Producers' notes:

Nose: Notes of beeswax polish give way to ripe fig aromas, toffee and orange zest. Aged leather tempers rum and raisin.

Taste: Stewed blackberry compote, sweet clementine and milk chocolate flavours are followed by a menthol undertone.

Finish: A long finish with a touch of smoke and a hint of pepper.
