Description

A litre bottle of Bonomelli Arquebuse, an Italian liqueur flavoured with a variety of herbs and extracts. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.

Arquebuse, also known as Acqua di Arquebuse, was originally created in France in 1857 by herbalist Frère Emmanuel, and was used to heal wounds inflicted by the firearms of the day, including the long gun known as an Arquebus.

This Bonomelli Arquebuse sold at our online auction for £18

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to the labels and wear to the cap.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
