Description

A bottle of Nikka Yoichi 20 Year Old Japanese Single Malt Whisky.

Yoichi distillery was founded in 1934 and is the oldest Nikka Whisky distillery, the other being Miyagikyo in Sendai. Yoichi's location on the northern island of Hokkaido was chosen by Masataka Taketsuru, who noted similarities to what he had found during his years in Scotland: clean air, a good humidity for maturing whisky and an abundance of water filtered through layers of peat.

This Nikka Yoichi 20 Year Old sold at our online auction for £1,450
