A bottle of The Singleton of Auchroisk 1975.
Auchroisk was built in 1972 to provide malt for the J & B blends. The first single malt was released in 1986 under the Singleton brand, and the maturation process was an early example of cask-finishing, with boubon-matured malt transferred to sherry casks for a further two years ageing. This pioneering move was not highly publicised, so The Balvenie and Glenmorangie are generally recognised as the first to experiment with cask-finishing.

The Whisky.Auction team has inspected this lot and found it to be suitable for sale. However, please note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing.
