Old Orkney Bottled 1930s US Release 5cl

Very old and rare miniature of Old Orkney.

This was the brand name for the single malt produced at Stromness distillery in Orkney, which sadly closed in 1928.

The tax stamp has a date listed – APR 1936.

These minis are from the collection of David Maund, one of the founding members of the oldest miniature bottle clubs in the world, The Mini Bottle Club.

David started his collection over 40 years ago and at the peak he had over 9000 minis, including some of the oldest and rarest bottles ever seen.

Over the next few auctions we will be selling the remainder of his blended whisky collection.
