To mark Earth Day on 22 April 2021, Place of the Way challenged 16 of the world’s best bartenders to create a selection of wildlife-inspired cocktails. Each cocktail represents one of the world’s most endangered animals and all proceeds will go to the World Wildlife Fund, a leading conservation organisation with a mission to create a world where people and wildlife can thrive together.

Description

A 30cl bottle of Jaguar, a cocktail made with Ojo de Dios Mezcal, cacao, chilli avocado oil, agave syrup and edible gold leaves.

Marion Zoelle, cocktail bartender at Kwant bar had this to say of her creation:

'This cocktail, influenced by the famous cacao based Mayan drink Xocolatl, is displaying a mix of cacao infused mezcal with a touch of chilli and agave syrup. This flavour marriage is a glimpse of the strength and intensity felt in a wild encounter with this beautiful animal; gold leaf shining through the dark liquid as their eyes sparkle. Best enjoyed over ice in a glass of your choice.'
