To mark English Wine Week, The Gerard Basset Foundation and Whisky.Auction hosted an exclusive English wine charity auction. All proceeds of the auction, including buyer’s commission, were received by the foundation.

The auction ran from 16 - 25 June as part of the June Fine Wine auction and included exclusive experiences as well as bottles donated by some of the UK's most prestigious wineries.

The wineries that took part included Ridgeview, Gusborne, Bolney Estate, Balfour Winery, Hambledon, Chapel Down, Wiston, Hundred Hills, Exton Park, Hattingley, Rathfinny and Artelium.

Highlight lots included lunch at Ridgeview’s ‘The Rows & Vine’ restaurant with winemaker Simon Roberts, a unique and tailor-made masterclass with the Hattingley Valley winemaker and a winery tour and from-the-barrel tasting with Felix Gabillet, winemaker for Hambledon.

The Gerard Basset Foundation (Registered Charity No.1193020) is a leading charitable foundation dedicated to using the wine and spirits and hospitality industries as a vehicle for change.
