Description

A bottle of Old Angus Liqueur Blended Scotch Whisky, produced and bottled by Train & McIntyre. The back label describers the character of the whisky as 'Gentle as a Lamb'.

The neck label reads: War risks necessitate bottling in any part UK.

Train & McIntyre was the proprietor of Glenlochy distillery between 1937 and 1953.

Please note, there is no size or ABV stated on the labels but this appears to be a 75cl bottle.

This Old Angus sold at our online auction for £220

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels and capsule. There is a sticky residue and glitter on this bottle due to another bottle in the parcel leaking in transit.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
