A bottle of Chequers The Superb Blended Scotch Whisky, produced by John McEwan & Co. Ltd. This was bottled for US importer Custom Import House, we estimate in the 1960s.

This is bottle number 245.

The 'McEwan Distillery by Elgin in Morayshire' mentioned on the back label likely refers to Linkwood distillery, established in 1821.
