A bottle of 2003 Chevalier-Montrachet Grand Cru, bottled by Lalou Bize Leroy at Domaine d’Auvenay. This was harvested from a 0.16 ha plot of Chevalier Montrachet acquired in 1992 from Jean Chartron. Domaine d’Auvenay is owned and managed by Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy, co-director of the Domaine de la Romanée-Conti from 1974 until 1992, and the woman behind Domaine Leroy and Maison Leroy, since its creation in 1988.
'This is the greatest estate in Burgundy…The sheer concentration, depth and intensity Lalou Bize-Leroy manages to squeeze into her bottles is breathtaking.' Clive Coates MW
This is bottle 77 of 320.
