A bottle of 2008 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron from Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation.
'The 2008 Pichon-Longueville Baron has a refined and focused bouquet with classic blackberry, mint and graphite aromas that gather momentum with aeration. The palate is beautifully balanced with pure black fruit, a fine bead of acidity, quite an intense finish with layers of graphite-infused black fruit that linger on and on. Wow. This is one of the most impressive Pauillac wines this vintage. If I were to rush out and buy one 2008 Bordeaux it may well be this. 2018 - 2045 96/100' Neal Martin, vinous.com, tasted 2018
