Description

A bottle of 1949 Primitivo from Cantine Antonio Ferrari. This was made from partially-dried, old vine fruit from Puglia in Southern Italy. It was harvested and fermented in 1949, aged for 10 years in old Slovenian oak casks, and then transferred to cement tanks for upwards of 35 years before bottling in 2005.

This lot comes from the temperature-controlled cellar of media businessman and wine enthusiast Lord Evgeny Lebedev, where it has been kept since purchase direct from UK importers.

This Antonio Ferrari Primitivo 1949 sold at our online auction for £85
