This lot contains three bottles of 1994 Château Haut-Batailley from Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation, a 22 hectare estate planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Originally part of Château Batailley, which was divided in the 1940s, it was sold to François Borie who combined the vineyards with 15 hectares from Duhart-Milon.
This lot comes from the temperature-controlled cellar of media businessman and wine enthusiast Lord Evgeny Lebedev, where they have been kept since purchase direct from UK importers.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
