This lot contains four bottles of 1995 Château Pichon-Longueville Baron from Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation.
'The nose has wonderful lift with blackberry, cassis, espresso and fireside hearth. Great definition although there is still just a little oak to be subsumed. The palate has very good weight and concentration, firm tannins, pure blackberry, kirsch and perhaps just a faint touch of VA that just lends the finish a sense of sensuality and decadence. Superb. Drink 2010-2025. 94/100' Neal Martin, tasted 2009.
This lot comes from the temperature-controlled cellar of media businessman and wine enthusiast Lord Evgeny Lebedev, where they have been kept since purchase direct from UK importers.
