Description

A bottle of Dewar's Ancestor Rare Old Scotch whisky, blended by John Dewar & Sons and sealed with a spring cap. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.

The label carries a royal warrant by appointment to The Late King George VI.

Ancestor was one of the deluxe blends in Dewar's range, containing a fair proportion of long-aged whisky.

Please note, there is no size stated on the label but this appears to be a 75cl bottle.

This Dewar's Ancestor Spring Cap sold at our online auction for £240

Condition

Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note damage to the box and wax seal and wear to the label and capsule.

Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.

This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
