A selection of correspondence from Wm Hay, Fairman & Co., proprietors of Littlemill Distillery, to its client William Pulling & Co.
Wm Hay & Co. owned Littlemill distillery from 1857 and later became Wm Hay, Fairman & Co.
This includes four receipts, showing amounts credited to the account of William Pulling & Co. dated 1857, 1861, 1886 and 1890.
One letter from Wm Hay & Co. to an unnamed recipient regarding a missing cask of whisky, dated 3 December 1861. The letter states that Wm Hay & Co. have enquired with The Railway Company who confirmed that the cask was forwarded, and that they will inform them 'in a day or two what has become of it'.
One letter dated September 1893 from the distillers to their wholesale customers, advising them of the Blends of Very Old Scotch Whiskies available at the time, and at what price.
