A bottle of 1982 Brunello di Montalcino Riserva produced in Italy at Cantina Della Fattoria 'Il Greppo' and bottled by Franco Biondi Santi to commemorate the centenary of the winery in 1988. This bottle carries the same organoleptic characteristics of the first Brunello ever created in 1888 by Ferruccio Biondi Santi.
This is bottle number 08909 of 13977.
Brunello di Montalcino is produced in Tuscany in vineyards surrounding the town of Montalcino, in the province of Siena, located about 80 kilometres south of Florence. In 1980, Brunello di Montalcino was among the four wines awarded the first Denominazione di Origine Controllata e Garantita (DOCG) designation. Today it is one of Italy's best-known and most expensive wines and is made with 100% Sangiovese.
