A 1cl sample bottle of Glenlivet 70 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This whisky was distilled on 3 February 1940, matured in a first fill sherry butt and bottled at cask strength by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail.
The sample bottle comes in a presentation box with a USB flash drive, a book on the history of Gordon & MacPhail and the Generations series, a copy of Scotch Whisky News and the original press release with tasting notes by Charles Maclean.
The Generations series showcases the longest matured Scotch whisky ever to be bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, with each cask maturing under the direction and ownership of four generations of the Urquhart family. This coming together of spirit selection and quality cask curation has resulted in a collection of whiskies which captures Scotland’s liquid history.
Please note, there is no size stated but this appears to be 1cl.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
