A bottle Mortlach 14 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This was purchased by The Wine Society in 1975 and matured in one of its own sherry casks. It was bottled at 59.53% ABV in September 1989.

The Wine Society, the world's oldest wine club, was founded at the Royal Albert Hall in London in 1874. The Wine Society still operates as a co-operative, and is owned solely by its members.
