Hospices De Beaune Auction

Burgundy Wine (Red) Auction


A bottle of Corton Clos du Roi Grand Cru 2010 Cuvée Baronne du Baÿ, bottled for the 150th Hospices de Beaune auction by La Maison Louis Jadot.

The 0.84 hectare Clos du Roi vineyard is located in the Côte de Beaune village of Aloxe-Corton, and was donated to the Hospices for its charitable wine auction, held every year in November, in 1924. The Hospices itself is a former charitable alms house, situated in Beaune, and was founded in 1443 by Nicolas Rolin, chancellor of Burgundy, as a hospital for the poor.
