A bottle of Midleton 45 Year Old Very Rare Single Malt Irish Whiskey. This is the first release in Midleton's Very Rare Silent Distillery Collection and was created at Old Midleton Distillery in 1974 by Max Crockett, Master Distiller Emeritus. The distillery closed in 1975. This was matured in a third-fill sherry cask and bottled at 51.2% ABV.
This is presented in a crystal decanter produced by Waterford Crystal and is housed in a wooden cabinet hand-crafted by Irish designer John Galvin. Made from American walnut, sterling silver and leather, the cabinet is hand etched and finished with ancient oak reclaimed from whiskey vats.
This is bottle number 27 of 48; it was bottled from cask number 4434.
