Description

A bottle of Christian Drouin Cœur De Lion 1992 Calvados Pays d'Auge. This was distilled in 1992, matured in oak barrels, and bottled in 2012.

The more restrictive AOC Calvados Pays d'Auge area is limited to the east end of the département of Calvados and a few adjoining districts, with additional requirements being that the cider base must have a minimum of six week fermentation, followed by double distillation in an alembic pot still, and at least two years' maturation in oak barrels.
