This lot contains six bottles of William Downie Yarra Valley Pinot Noir 2008 from Victoria in Australia.

These were imported to the UK by Liberty Wines Ltd.

'A stylish, savoury and rather closed pinot of texture, tightness and length. It's quite reductive and needs plenty of aeration for its delicate fragrance of rose petals, red cherries and plums to flower in harmony with earthy, meaty and raspberry scents. Fine and silky, with a delightfully sweet presence of vibrant red fruits above a fine, bony chassis, it's simply crying out for time in the bottle. 95/100' Jeremy Oliver
