Description

A bottle of Jane Barbancourt Special Rum from Haiti. This should not be confused with the world-famous Rhum Barbancourt. This was imported to Italy by Ennio Pescarmo, we estimate in the 1980s.

In the 1950s, there was a trademark dispute over the use of the Barbancourt name, Rhum Barbancourt was successful, though the proprietors were still jailed for four hours for failing to bribe the judge.

Today, the Jane Barbancourt company is known as Berling S.A.
