Description

A bottle of Balvenie 21 Year Old PortWood Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This was first matured in traditional whisky casks before being transferred to Portuguese oak port pipes for an extra maturation period.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant and it has been in the same family for five generations. Today it is one of the few family owned distilleries in Scotland. The distillery uses local barley where possible and still maintains its own malting floor.
