Description

A bottle of Moët & Chandon Vintage 1959 Brut Rose Imperial Champagne, a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 15% Pinot Meunier and 25% Chardonnay.

This impressed Champagne critic Richard Juhlin in 2003, when he awarded it 94/100: 'An incredibly homogenous, rich rosé! Monumental and aristocratic . The nose is mute and still impressive in all its weight and Burgundy-like presentation. There are layers of sweet fruit and compact toffee tastes, at the same time as the dark depth beckons from its gamy side, its tobacco notes, and its indecent taste of Gruyère.'

Please note, there is no size or ABV stated on the label, but this appears to be a 75cl bottle.

This Moet & Chandon 1959 Brut Rosé sold at our online auction for £125
