A bottle of 1938 Massandra White Muscat from the Crimea. The winery was built in the nineteenth century to fulfil the needs of the Tsar's court, and became renowned within Russia for its strong, sweet wines - which are intensely perfumed in the case of those made from the Muscat variety.
