Description

A bottle of Aberlour 25 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This was distilled in 1970, matured in bourbon casks and bottled by Lombard Scotch Whisky for the Jewels of Scotland series.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour and its water source is St Drostan's Well. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers.
