Description

A bottle of Aberlour Antique Single Highland Malt Scotch Whisky, a duty free exclusive released at the turn of the millennium. This is a blend of malts aged between 10 and 25 years. We estimate this was bottled in the late 1990s to early 2000s.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour and its water source is St Drostan's Well. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers.
