Description

The first bottling of The Balvenie 17 Year Old New Oak Single Malt Scotch Whisky, a marriage of Balvenie from Bourbon wood and Balvenie from sherry wood vatted together in New American Oak. This was bottled in 2007.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant and it has been in the same family for five generations. Today it is one of the few family owned distilleries in Scotland. The distillery uses local barley where possible and still maintains its own malting floor.
