A bottle of Glenfarclas Single Malt Scotch Whisky from the Coilltean series. This was distilled in 1977 and bottled in 1993 by R W Duthie & Co. to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Samaroli. This was imported to Italy.
This is bottle number 313 of 696.
Glenfarclas is one of the oldest distilleries in Speyside and since it was purchased by John Grant in 1865 for £512, it has remained under the Grant family's ownership.
Known for its use of European oak sherry casks and direct-fired stills, the distillery was the first to release a high strength single malt (Glenfarclas 105° was released in 1968) and among the first to open a visitor centre in 1973.
Though Glenfarclas distillery does supply blenders, it has always held back a sizeable portion of its output for single malt bottlings, the result is that Glenfarclas retains significant volumes of long aged stocks.
