Description

A bottle of 1983 Taittinger Comtes Brut Rosé, made from 100% Pinot Noir. This was distributed in the United Kingdom by Matthew Clark and Sons Limited.

'The colour is deep with hints of orange. The mousse is lively and the red fruit notes are mixed up with gooseberry, sabayone, mint taffy and leather. Juicy and voluptuously grandiose Champagne. 94/100' Richard Juhlin, 4000 Champagnes, tasted 2002

Taittinger's Prestige Cuvée, Comtes de Champagne, is an homage to Lord Thibaut IV, who planted the first Chardonnay vines in the province in the 13th century.

This Taittinger 1983 Comtes De Champagne sold at our online auction for £125
