An extremely limited-edition bottling of Bowmore, distilled on 22 November 1955 and matured firstly in an ex-bourbon hogshead before being transferred to a sherry butt and bottled in a crystal decanter 40 years later.
The decanter was made by Caithness Glass, while the wooden cabinet was hand-made by Charles Kirkby & Sons. in Sheffield, England.
Only 306 of these single malt whiskies were ever produced, with 12 kept in the Bowmore Vaults at the distillery.
Please note: the winner of this lot will also receive two one-hour complimentary tours of the distillery, finishing with a free dram in the bar and the gift of a Bowmore glass. This offer expires on 27 March 2017. The winner will need to make their own way to Bowmore, as transport costs to and from the distillery are not included.
This is bottle 106 of 306.
Please note wear to the box's interior and the exterior gold detailing.
