Bowmore 1955 40 Years Old Crystal Decanter 70cl

An extremely limited-edition bottling of Bowmore, distilled on 22 November 1955 and matured firstly in an ex-bourbon hogshead before being transferred to a sherry butt and bottled in a crystal decanter 40 years later.

The decanter was made by Caithness Glass, while the wooden cabinet was hand-made by Charles Kirkby & Sons. in Sheffield, England.

Only 306 of these single malt whiskies were ever produced, with 12 kept in the Bowmore Vaults at the distillery.

Please note: the winner of this lot will also receive two one-hour complimentary tours of the distillery, finishing with a free dram in the bar and the gift of a Bowmore glass.
