A miniature bottle of Usher's Old Vatted Glenlivet, a Blend of Glenlivet and other Scotch Whiskies, bottled by J & G Stewart Ltd. We estimate this was bottled in the 1950s.
The label carries a royal warrant by appointment to HM the Queen.
Please note, there is no size stated on the label.
This bottle is from a large collection of miniatures purchased by the seller at an auction in 1979. The collection is mainly comprised of blended Scotch whiskies and single malts bottled in the first half of the 20th century.
Usher's Old Vatted Glenlivet was first released in 1853 and is considered to be the first blended whisky brand.
J & G Stewart was blending firm founded in Edinburgh in 1778, and by the late 19th century was prominent throughout Europe and in the Americas. It became part of Distillers Company Limited in 1917, one of the biggest whisky acquisitions of the time, with stock amounting to 8000 butts transferred to the new owners.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the labels and capsule.
