Description

A bottle of Aberlour 12 Year Old Double Cask Matured Highland Single Malt Scotch Whisky. This was matured in a combination of traditional oak and sherry oak casks.

Aberlour distillery was founded in 1879 by James Fleming. It is located at the confluence of the rivers Spey and Lour and its water source is St Drostan's Well. When journalist and distilling historian Alfred Barnard visited the distillery in the 1880s he described it as 'the perfect modern distillery'. Today, Aberlour is owned by Chivas Brothers.
