A bottle of 1985 La Grande Dame, the flagship 'prestige cuvée' Champagne from Veuve Clicquot, a 62% Pinot Noir and 38% Chardonnay blend. Undoubtedly one of the great post-war Champagne vintages, this wine received 95 points from Robert Parker and 94 points from Wine Spectator.

1985 was the year that Clicquot changed the bottle shape for this blend, with some sold in the new broader bottle design, and some, like this, bottled in the curvy, older design.

This was bottled for the Italian market.
