Description

A bottle of 1996 Cornas Domaine de Saint Pierre from producer Paul Jaboulet Aîné. Cornas AOC is a hilly appellation in the Northern Rhône valley, producing red wine from the Syrah grape variety.

'This is Jaboulet's biggest and fullest red wine behind Hermitage La Chapelle, and is a mighty, robust Syrah for long ageing....sustained dark colour; oily black fruit nose, stewed black plums/mint....The end tannins are agreeably demanding. 2021-24. *****' John Livingstone-Learmonth, The Wines of the Northern Rhône.
