A bottle of The Balvenie 15 Year Old, matured in a European oak sherry butt.

This is bottle number 494 of 650, bottled from cask number 778.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant, and has been in the same family for five generations. Today, it is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland, producing whisky in a traditional style; using local barley where possible, and still maintaining their own malting floor.
