A bottle of Réserve Louis-Philippe Grande Cuvée Vintage 1946, bottled for Caves de l'Hôtel de Paris, Monte Carlo.
The label does not state which type of spirit this bottle contains. We suspect it is a Cognac.
Please note, there is no size or ABV stated on the label, but it appears to be a 70cl bottle.
The wine cellars at Hôtel de Paris were completed in 1874, and at the time were the largest hotel cellars in the world. During the Second World War, a wall was constructed to hide more than 20000 bottles from potential seizure. Sir Winston Churchill was invited to re-open the cellars at the end of the war, and an 1811 rum was opened for the occasion.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the label.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment. We cannot guarantee that the contents of this bottle will be free from the effects of age, cork taint, oxidation or other faults.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
