A 1cl bottle of Mortlach 70 Year Old in a presentation box with a USB flash drive. This was distilled on 15 October 1938, matured in a first fill sherry hogshead, and bottled at cask strength on 15 October 2008 by independent bottler Gordon & MacPhail as part of the Generations series.
The Generations series showcases the longest matured Scotch whisky ever to be bottled by Gordon & MacPhail, with each cask maturing under the direction and ownership of four generations of the Urquhart family. This coming together of spirit selection and quality cask curation has resulted in a collection of whiskies which captures Scotland’s liquid history.
Please note, there is no size stated but this appears to be 1cl.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Mote wear to the box.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
