Description

Made to reflect the style of whisky Macallan was producing in the 1940s, the master distiller sampled Macallan from that era and has produced liquid that reflects that same style and flavour profile.

Similarly to the Forties' bottling, this reflects the period during the Second World War where resources like coal and oak were scarce, making for a more peated, less spicy whisky than modern incarnations.
