A bottle of The Balvenie 17 Year Old Peated Cask. This spent the final maturation period in casks that previously held heavily peated whisky, before marrying with The Balvenie finished in new American oak and bottling at 43% ABV.

The Balvenie distillery was founded in 1889 by whisky pioneer William Grant, and has been in the same family for five generations. Today, it is one of the few family-owned distilleries in Scotland, producing whisky in a traditional style; using local barley where possible, and still maintaining their own malting floor.
