Description

A 94.6cl bottle of William Penn Rye Whiskey, distilled in bond under Government Supervision and bottled by Consolidated Distilleries Limited, Montreal, Canada. We estimate this was bottled in the mid 1930s to mid 1940s.

Consolidated Distilleries Limited was established in 1920 and manufactured American style whiskey such as rye and bourbon, including brands such as Old Crow, Corby's Special and William Penn. It was known for supplying American bootleggers during prohibition and counted organised crime syndicates among its customers.
