A bottle of A Very Fine Old Cognac produced by Matthew Gloag & Sons, we estimate in the 1940s.

Matthew Gloag & Son Ltd. was a Perth-based whisky blender and bottler best known for The Famous Grouse brand, first produced in 1896. In 1970 the company was sold to Highland Distilleries Co. Ltd.
