A bottle of 1964 Château Haut Batailley from Bordeaux's Pauillac appellation. A 'fifth growth' in the 1855 classification, the 22 hectare estate is planted with 65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 25% Merlot and 10% Cabernet Franc. Originally part of Château Batailley, which was divided in the 1940s, it was sold to François Borie, who combined the vineyards with 15 hectares from Duhart-Milon.
Please note, there is no size or ABV stated on the label, but it appears to be 75cl.
Please see images for fill level and label condition. Note wear to the label.
Note the absence of a condition statement does not imply that this lot is in perfect condition or free from wear and tear, imperfections or the effects of ageing. Older bottles often contain small amounts of sediment.
This bottle does not appear to be leaking. While we take every care to pack bottles securely we cannot guarantee that old corks and closures will not leak in transit.
