A bottle of Carsebridge 1965 single grain Scotch whisky. This was matured in a single barrel for 46 years and selected by Mahesh R Patel, Whisky Adventurer, for Sirius Whisky Purveyors.
This was bottled from cask number 175580.
Carsebridge was a Lowland distillery which operated from 1798 to 1983. It was established as a malt distillery and converted to a grain distillery around 1850, before becoming a founding member of DCL in 1877. By the time Carsebridge was transferred to Scottish Grain Distillers in 1966, it was one of the biggest grain distilleries in Scotland. The distillery was closed in 1983 and demolished in the early 1990s. Carsebridge has only ever been bottled as a single grain, with long-aged expressions available from independent bottlers.
