Description

A bottle of Coral Isle Fine Old Jamaica Rum, imported and bottled by Macdonald & Muir Ltd., Leith. We estimate this was bottled in the 1930s to early 1940s.

The words 'Pre War' and 'Brought Griersons April 1942 £1' are written on the label in pencil.

Macdonald & Muir was formed in 1893, acquiring a 40% share in Glenmorangie in 1918 before buying it outright in the late 1930s. In 1996, the company changed its name to Glenmorangie plc before it was sold to LVMH in 2004.
