A bottle of Optimism malt Scotch whisky. This was matured in a combination of American and French oak casks and was bottled by Compass Box on 27 and 28 February 2009 for Whisky Live London 'as a hopeful antidote to the global economic malaise of the time.'

This is bottle number 50. Compass Box bottled 163 bottles on site at the 2009 London Whisky Live Festival.

This bottle comes from the private collection of one of the original employees at Compass Box. His collection of Compass Box whiskies spans the history of the brand from the first bottling released in 2000 to more recent limited editions.
