A bottle of Monster Vatted Malt Scotch Whisky. This was bottled by Compass Box in 2003 for Park Avenue Liquor Shop, New York, and imported by Baxter St. Imports.

Monster was the precursor to The Peat Monster, which became a part of the core range the following year. It was bottled from two casks: one distilled near Port Askaig (Caol Ila) and one distilled near Kennethmont (Ardmore).

This bottle comes from the private collection of one of the original employees at Compass Box. His collection of Compass Box whiskies spans the history of the brand from the first bottling released in 2000 to more recent limited editions.
